In this new exhibition about the 90 years of the Museum, biodiversity will be the thematic axis to discuss and reflect on the Museum’s biological collections and their processes of formation. This type of cultural heritage functions as a three-dimensional archive of the natural world and the relationship of society with its environment. Furthermore, currently, they are the subject of intense debates on Speciesism and Bioethics. As part of the opening of the exhibition, the discussion “The Great Transformation and its environmental consequences” will take place.
Together with the researchers and the attending public, it is proposed to create a space for meeting, dialogue, and reflection on the environmental consequences of productive transformation in the early decades of the 20th century.
