La Pampa, which assumed the responsibility of organizing the competition, will make its debut today in different disciplines.

The XXXII Binational Games of the Araucanía ‘La Pampa 2025’ started today with competitions in eight locations and the participation of almost 3 thousand people from the six Patagonian provinces of Argentina (La Pampa, Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut, Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego) and the seven regions of southern Chile (Magallanes, Aysén, Los Lagos, Los Ríos, Ñuble, Araucanía and Bío Bío).

Santa Rosa, General Pico, Toay, General Acha, Eduardo Castex, Miguel Riglos, Ataliva Roca and Quehué will be the venues that will host the traditional seven sports of Araucanía: football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, swimming, judo and cycling.

Cycling will compete on the Autódromo Provincia de La Pampa circuit, in Toay; swimming at the Miguel Riglos municipal natatorium and men’s volleyball at Eduardo Castex.

Women’s soccer will be played in General Pico; in Santa Rosa men’s soccer; Women’s volleyball will be played in Ataliva Roca, General Acha and Quehué; while Acha will also be the scene of women’s basketball. In Santa Rosa there will also be men’s basketball, judo and athletics.

The central opening ceremony will be this Sunday at the Amphitheater of the Civic Center of the capital, starting at 8 p.m. (a simultaneous ceremony will be held in each sub-venue); while the closing event will be on Thursday at the Estudiantes Club, also from 8 p.m.

Debut
#

La Pampa’s debut will be held today in several sports. In men’s soccer (defending the title) they will face Magallanes in Zone A, starting at 10 am, on the Deportivo Mac Allister field. While women’s soccer will have a free day on this first day.

In men’s volleyball (also 2024 champion) the play starts at 11 a.m. against Ñuble and at 5 p.m. against Santa Cruz, in both cases in Racing of Eduardo Castex.

In women’s volleyball, La Pampa will play against Ñuble in Pampero de Ataliva Roca (at 8:30) and against Magallanes in Quehué, from 5:30 p.m.

In men’s basketball they will debut against Ñuble starting at 11 am on the Estudiantes de Santa Rosa court; while in women’s basketball it will debut at 5:00 p.m. against Los Ríos at the General Acha Sports Center.

Cycling will also start (women’s and men’s team time trial), starting at 9, at the Autódromo Provincia de La Pampa.

Athletics will debut on the synthetic floor track of the Don Tomás Recreational Park starting at 4 p.m.; while judo will start at 9 at School 95 in Santa Rosa. Finally, swimming will start tomorrow in Miguel Riglos.
