Secretary Gabriela Labourie highlighted to the Provincial News Agency the importance of this tool as a concrete response to the needs identified at the provincial level. “This guide aims to provide clear and accessible information for recognizing, preventing, and guiding what to do in situations of digital gender-based violence, from a rights-based and supportive approach”, she said. And remarked that the data from the previous survey were fundamental to understanding that what happens behind a screen directly impacts people’s emotional health, safety, autonomy, and integrity.
*From the Secretariat, it was emphasized that digital violence is never the responsibility of the victim and that nothing justifies this type of aggression. Therefore, victims are instructed to preserve evidence through screenshots and links without deleting the material to facilitate future actions.
