The Provincial News Agency announced that the Government of La Pampa awarded the contract for general repairs at School No. 78 in Santa Rosa, one of the educational establishments that suffered significant damage during the severe wind and rain storm on February 18. The project will require an investment of $684,952,606 and will have a completion timeframe of 120 days.
State of Emergency #
This decision falls under Decree No. 163/2026, which declared a state of emergency for school buildings in Santa Rosa and Toay damaged by the storm, authorizing the Ministry of Public Works and Services to expedite the administrative processes for carrying out repair and renovation work.
According to the technical documentation approved by the General Directorate of Public Works, the work at School No. 78 will require an investment of $684,952,606.01 (at February 2026 values) and must be completed within 120 calendar days from the start date.
Another repairs: #
The works cited previously are part of a plan of interventions that the La Pampa’s government is carrying out in various educational establishments in the capital of La Pampa that were affected by the weather event. In total, the planned investment exceeds $1.466 billion.
School N° 27 #
Among the projects already awarded are the general repairs at School No. 27, to be carried out by the company Materiales Butaló SRL, with a budget of $116,037,903.27 and a completion deadline of 90 days.
School N° 219 - School N° 25 #
Work is also underway at School No. 219, where the contract was awarded to Antonella Yanet Canalis for $249,563,614.69, with a 90-day deadline; and at School No. 25, where the work is being carried out by José Walter Abbona for $38,324,351.16, also with a three-month deadline.
School N° 6 #
Meanwhile, repairs at School No. 6 were awarded to Iaco Construcciones SA for $181,994,025, with a 100-day deadline.
Provincial Vocational Training Center N° 3 #
The Provincial Vocational Training Center No. 3 will be renovated by Innokonst SA, with a contract worth $142,197,949.45 and a 90-day deadline.
EPET N° 1 #
On other hand, the general repair at EPET N° 1 was awarded to Ledesma Zulema Beatriz for $53,581,233.97, also with an execution period of 90 days.
Despite the damage caused by the weather event, the 2016 school year began normally on March 2, thanks to emergency response efforts and the rapid intervention of the provincial government’s technical teams to ensure safe conditions in the educational establishments, the APN stated.
