Digging on curiosity and science.

The Provincial News Agency indicated that twelve professionals from La Pampa will be trained in bio and nanotechnologies, with the intervention of the Ministry of Production and the CITIA Agency. The training program is promoted by the Argentine Nanotechnology Foundation.

The professionals from La Pampa were selected after a call made by the CITIA Agency. Those selected began an update program in bio and nanotechnology that addresses some of the most relevant technologies for current productive development. The initiative is financed by CITIA, with the aim of strengthening local capacities in strategic areas that can be applied in the province.

As reported, the program - which runs from April to June - includes content related to nanotechnology, biotechnology, applied artificial intelligence, gene editing (CRISPR), new materials, energies, sensors and technology transfer. In addition to the scientific aspects, the proposal incorporates tools to put this knowledge into practice: business models, intellectual property and development of technological projects.

The APN pointed out that “the training is aligned with the Economic and Productive Development Plan of La Pampa 2026-2030, which promotes the incorporation of knowledge and technology in key sectors to diversify the productive matrix. In an economy strongly linked to agriculture and natural resources, advancing in this type of capacity allows improving processes, generating greater added value and opening new productive opportunities.”

And concluded that “the commitment is clear: that knowledge does not remain only in training, but that it is translated into projects, companies and concrete solutions for the Province. CITIA promotes these scholarships as part of its mission to bring science and technology closer to productive development, strengthening the local ecosystem and accompanying those who can generate that change.”
