The General Directorate of Consumer Defense released a series of recommendations to prevent scams, deception and problems in online purchases ahead of a new edition of the Hot Sale, which will begin on Monday, May 11.

The General Directorate of Consumer Defense who depends of the Ministry of Government and Municipal Affairs advised that users must enter only on the official site of the event to verify that the participating businesses are adhered to the event and avoid fraudulent pages.
In addition, was recommended to search in advance for products of interest and take screenshots of current prices. They explained that will allow them to check if the discounts published during the event are real and to have evidence of possible claims.
Another subject pointed out is the need to verify that the pages inform the company name, CUIT and legal address of the business before making a purchase. The organism insisted on carefully reading the conditions of shipping, return and delivery times, in addition to avoiding access through suspicious links received through social networks or messages.
La Pampa’s Consumer Defense recalled that purchases should be made only on secure sites, identified with the prefix ‘https://’ and the security padlock in the browser bar.
Pampean Consumer Defense also recalled that consumers have a period of ten calendar days from the receipt of the product to exercise the right of purchase regret.
