The competition brought together 350 athletes, who ran the trails of the protected area on a day marked by intense cold. During the morning of the event, frosts were recorded in much of the La Pampa’s territory, with temperatures below zero that did not prevent the development of the activity or the presence of the runners, who participated with enthusiasm and commitment.
In addition to the athletes, approximately 650 people entered the reserve, including companions and the general public, from different parts of La Pampa and neighboring provinces, which generated an important tourist and recreational movement.
The ‘Reserve Challenge Trail’ once again highlighted Parque Luro as an ideal setting for sports tourism and outdoor activities, consolidating this type of event as an alternative that promotes tourism and the contact with nature.
Data from the organization confirmed the APN that the total number of people who entered directly related to the competitive event was 680 people: 279 from the city of Santa Rosa; 347 from the provincial interior and 54 from neighboring provinces.
