These workshops, which began in May, are being offered at the request of municipalities throughout the province. “To date, the technical team has visited the towns of Parera, Victorica, Luan Toro, Eduardo Castex, La Maruja, and Catriló, where participation has been very high, especially from municipal employees responsible for maintaining green spaces,” Carlos Bonnemezón, Director General of Natural Resources, told the Provincial News Agency.
Natural Resources emphasized that pruning is not a harmless practice for trees; rather, it is an intervention that directly impacts the health, longevity, and safety of the specimen. “It is essential that these tasks be carried out correctly and according to precise technical criteria to minimize risks and avoid irreparable damage,” explained Bonnemezón.
Residents are asked to contact their local municipal office if they need to perform any type of pruning or other work, avoiding any individual practices that could affect the integrity of public trees.
